Hi All, As you are all well aware the flood disaster is evolving in front of us and no doubt a large number of our members are affected some quiet severely. Below you will see details of a lost horse register the Qld Horse Council is hosting. Please forward information onto your members so they can register their lost horses. Over the coming days I will be communicating with Biosecurity Queensland on steps for supporting our members in these trying times. We see a real concern in the availability of Horse Feed and suitable pastures and stabling for flood victim horses. Over the coming days I believe we will need to access suitable stabling for flood victims horses if anyone has any suggestions please forward them to me and I will forward them to Biosecurity Qld. As many identifying features are required even on dead animals – we want to be able to bring some closure to owners who have lost horses and also have accurate figures of lost horses at the end of this. Emergency Feed – The Qld Horse Council will have a truckload of hay arriving at the Ipswich Showground possibly on Monday if roads are clear.
